Angela & Charlie, Main Line Philadelphia Wedding

What an amazing day we had with Angela & Charlie!! The wedding was held at Charlie’s Grandfathers (Everyone refers to him as Commander, he commanded a ship in the world war) home on the main line.  Charlies parents were married there some 30 or so years before, its a pretty special place.

Venue: The Commanders
Wedding Planner: CHill Weddings, Christina and her team were amazing!
Flowers: Charleston Stems, from Charleston SC.  Angela and Charlie are foodies and Anne Bowen really out did herself with the floral arrangements, look for all the fruits and veggies.

Hair: Dar Clinton
Cake: Van Earl’s Cakes
Band: Millennium, these guys are seriously AMAZING. So much fun. (I couldn’t find their website…)

Love these two of Angela. The Commander’s bee hives in the background, where they collected all the honey for the favors given at the wedding.
I couldn’t resist taking them inside for some photos, I loved this room.
Charlie’s favorite tree.
The ceremony site was gorgeous.
Each member of the bridal party contributed to a poem read during the ceremony.
Honey from Commander’s bee’s.
Loads of details.
The cake, the cake was a lemon meringue! It was delicious.
Check out all the fruits and veggies that are in the centerpieces.
The first dance was so awesome. They did a reenactment of the dirty dancing dance.  It was so much fun.
Some lovely heart felt toasts.
And one shot to end the night.
This wedding was simply awesome.  The love you felt in the room was inspiring. Thank you so much for having me as part of your day!

You must watch the slideshow.  The song is one that Charlie wrote and composed, he danced to it with his mother.
(There are other surprises as well….)

We started the day bright and early, coffee in hand.  These are some of my favorites from the getting ready.

I love all the detail in the Vietnamese wedding outfit.

Off we went to Valley Forge for photos.
Nam is a volunteer fire fighter in Berwyn and his ladder surprised him by having the brand new fire truck waiting at Valley Forge.
We headed over to the arch for a few more photos, the arch has special meaning for Lisa & Nam.
The bench where Nam proposed to Lisa.
It was then off to the reception.
I love this little collection of portraits I got during cocktail hour.

Nolan & Reese, Moodybaby Session

Nolan and Reese are such cuties.  We had a fun time on this shoot.  Nolan’s dad, Joe, is my hair stylist and owns Gravity Salon in Ambler, if you need an amazing haircut and color you need to go check out Gravity. (I’ve been going to Joe since college!) He’s always done an awesome job with my hair so it was about time I returned the favor and shared my talents to photograph him and his family.

Nolan quickly warmed up and showed me some of his favorite things to do in his room.

Reese is a little over six months and such a fun age.  Nolan knows how to keep her interest and loves to sing to her as you will see in the slideshow at the end.
SO adorable!
Now that’s some close-up action! Looks like the tooth fairy has been to see Nolan recently.
Much love.
Fun times on the swings.

Love this of Reese! She is so adorable.Nolan received a special treat from me, I’m not sure he was all that into it…..Such a good brother to share!
You guys are awesome as always. So happy I could capture this time in your lives.Don’t miss more pics in the slideshow, plus Nolan’s raspy bluesy voice.

Liam & Jessica, Moodybaby shoot Springton Manor Farm

I had a blast at Springton Manor Farm with these guys! Jessica and Liam are two super sweet kids, I think they take after their parents. 🙂
Springton Manor Farm is such an awesome place to take your family, they have animals, we got to see baby piglets that were three days old, cool barn equipment, old structures and you name it it was a perfect backdrop for family photos.

Family Portraits Springton Manor FarmLiam is getting so big!  Last time I saw him he was six months old! He still likes cuddling with mom though.

They loved being tossed up by Dad.
A farm family photo if there ever was.Family Portraits Springton Manor Farm

We visited the chickens and the goats.
Jess is such a beauty.
Saying hi to the rabbits and the little piglets that were born only three days before our visit.Family Portraits Springton Manor FarmLiam can jump high!
A treat from me!  Later that day I got a message from Liam’s dad( “that was so nice that she brought the lollipops.” He also said, that next time we should ask you to bring something smaller so he can finish the whole thing.) I thought that was so funny!

Some big lollipops!
Mom and Dad liked them too.
A quick little snuggle.
I had such a fun time with you guys and the kids!

Sandra & KC, rock climbing engagement shoot

Sandra & KC are real adventurers. In the summer they keep active rock climbing, water sports etc… in the winter they are both excellent snow boarders.  They are going to Chile for their honeymoon actually….. to snowboard.
I didn’t think the normal type of engagement shoot was what these guys needed so I suggested we go rock climbing. (Having no idea what so ever what was really involved…..)
I arrived, Sandra met me in the parking lot said hello and then instructed me to put on a harness.  KC had been there a bit before us and had set up some nice safety lines for me to tie into to feel safe and if I fell, well I wouldn’t fall far. Once I was up there I got a little height fright but soon got comfortable in my particular spot, I thought I might move around a bit more on the line provided but I was admittedly a tad nervous and anchored to my chosen spot. 🙂
After the bit of fun with them repelling down the cliff, that was the only way down soooo I had to go too.  I had never repelled before.. KC is a great instructor, I felt calm and safe and he gave me all the time I needed to get my self over the cliff.  It was crazy. It took me a while but I finally got down to the bottom safe and sound. (No I did not have my gear on me at this time.  We packed it up safe and sent it down on a separate line. No big deal. 🙂  Seeing KC come down after breaking everything down on the top was humbling.  He was down in like 2 seconds. My arms and body was still shaking when I got home.

Meet Sandra & KC
Crazy kids.

Its funny from some angles it doesn’t look that far. But as they got down farther it becomes more apparent.
KC climbing back up to get me.
I thought it was super cute that KC thought of this.  He brought along a rope tied into a heart shape.

These two are tying the knot!
Super sweet.
A few shots with a shirt, ya know for mom. 🙂  It was my first time meeting KC and he definitely seems more comfortable without a shirt and Sandra has no objections.
It was a hot day and so a dip in the river was a real treat.
A little yoga on a rock.
The hair whip challenge!
Sandra wins.

You guys are awesome.  I can’t wait to see you in a few short weeks.

Martelli Family, moodybaby photo session

Its always a huge honor when another photographer hires you to do a photo session with them and their family.  Brett is a great photographer in the area and I have known him for a long time now. Him and his wife have an adorable little girl Emma.  She is gorgeous and is a good mix of the two of them but she could seriously be Brett’s mini me on many occasions. Brett and his family know what to expect for shoots like these so it made this session one of the easiest and quickest I have ever had.  (Not to mention we were being bombed by gnats and had no interest in hanging around longer than we needed to.)

Meet the Martelli’sCan’t forget big brother too! Pretty adorable family right there.

Brother and sister, sooo cute.
They are just cool like that.
This little one is going to get anything she wants. Look at those eyes.
Here comes trouble, cute adorable trouble. 🙂Cute couple, I must say.
Emma’s reward for being adorable and great.  And well it makes for some fun pics too. We both win.You guys were a ton of fun!  Thanks for thinking of me to document your family.

Kelly & Mike, Philadelphia engagement shoot

I will be ringing in the new year with Kelly and Mike on their New Years Eve wedding! I am very excited, its going to be a great day.
These two just bought a house and so we thought it would be cool to take some photos there since there is no furniture yet.

We had photos taken the day we settled on our home and I love looking back at those images now that we are all settled in and I am sure Kelly and Mike will feel the same way about theirs.

Love their big red door.
Mike rows so we headed down to boat house row and spent some time at his clubs house.
This may be my favorite from the bunch.

Mike’s room-mate showed up just in time to tease him a bit and get caught in some images.
A little out take of Kelly that I really love.

These two are a great looking couple.
We ended near the waterworks
Thank you for a wonderful evening you guys!  I can’t wait to see you on New Years Eve.

Baby Gabriel, Philadelphia moodybaby session

I had a wonderful time with baby Gabriel and family a few weeks back, not to forget the dog Schnitzel either who is taking big brother duties very seriously. 🙂 Laura and I both graduated from the photography program at Drexel, so I was excited when she called me up to come document this new exciting time in their lives.

Look at that face, serious heart melter.

Where baby is, so is big brother Schnitzel. He is seriously the sweetest dog on the planet.
LOVE LOVE LOVE this one. So much.
