Jacqueline and Dan had an amazing day! Its been a while since I’ve been to the Ballroom at the Ben for a wedding, I had forgotten how beautiful it is!
Jacqueline and Dan met at her sister Kelly’s wedding in 2011! That just makes their wedding all that more special I think. It was great to see the family again for such a special occasion.
Alexa had the pleasure of photographing the guys before the ceremony, you’ll see they found an awesome bouncy castle to use for a backdrop. I was with the ladies at Jacqueline’s parents, an amazing house for pictures. I love shooting there.
The first look with Dad is one of the most special moments in this family, he is one proud Papa! Dad also continued the tradition of stepping on the brides veil after giving her away at the church, exactly the same thing he did with Jacqueline’s sister. Don’t worry that veil was secure and nobody was harmed in the stepping on the veil.
We took pictures around Independence Hall in Philadelphia. A great looking bridal party for sure! It was a beautiful spring day, couldn’t have asked for better weather! Jacqueline and Dan make an adorable couple. They both have these majestic blue eyes! Truly mesmerizing! Jacqueline’s dress was gorgeous an moved so beautifully. They were both just perfect.
The Ballroom at the Ben looked amazing! Marcus Hook Florist did a fantastic job with the flowers! The ballroom looked amazing. Big Ric was there to party the night away, I love Big Ric he has such a big personality and talent to match. The reception was a fantastic dance party! It was truly a perfect day all around. I couldn’t be more excited for this fabulous couple!

I had a lovely Philadelphia Engagement session with Lauren & Kevin a few weeks ago! They brought along their baby, a Bernese mountain dog named Rufus. He was a big teddy bear, BIG, friendly and loving as ever. He really gets the attention, everywhere we went people were drawn to him, I mean how could they not be, he is beautiful! No wonder Lauren and Kevin wanted to have him along for photos, he was a great model. Lauren and Kevin are beautiful too, no denying that! Everyone shined in front of the camera and we had a lovely stroll around Old City that morning. I’m looking forward to seeing them again in March for their wedding, I don’t think Rufus will be there for that though. Thanks again you guys!

Sterling might look a little familiar, we did a session with just her a few weeks ago, this time around we did some Philadelphia Family Portraits in Rittenhouse Square with the whole family! Everyone was in town to celebrate her birthday, its not often that both sets of grandparents are together so it was a special occasion for sure! I think the images will say it all, but Sterling is loved to pieces by everyone! She knows how to absorb all of that love too, a special little lady indeed! I had a wonderful time getting to know her Uncle and Grandparents, they couldn’t be more proud of her. I love photographing families with such outgoing personalities. Philadelphia Family Portraits are one of my favorite kind of sessions to capture!

Patrick and Eric had a wonderful Philadelphia wedding celebration at the Lowes. They met each other while in school at Drexel University and knew they wanted to get married in Philadelphia as soon as it was legally possible. These two are pretty adorable together, its clear they were meant to be. I’ve known Patrick since he was in grade school so I’ve watched him grow up over the years, I even had him in one of my photo classes at Drexel! These guys make one talented combo, Patrick in the Design and Merchandising field and Eric in Video Production, they are both in NYC now. They always knew they wanted a Philadelphia wedding, after all Philadelphia is an important piece to their puzzle. Their vows were simple, humorous and from the heart. Its such a special thing to watch two people make such an important commitment to each other in front of their family and most cherished friends. There was laughing, crying and everything that goes in between. The love and support coming off everyone in that room was abundant! I couldn’t be more thrilled for them.
They did the floral arrangements themselves and rented live tree’s from a local nursery. The wedding was held in the Terrace Room of the Lowes, I didn’t even realize this room existed! It was beautiful with all the lights strung and reflecting off the glass. The ceremony was perfectly timed with sunset and a beautiful night sky glowing around them. DJ Deejay kept the party going with an uplifting fun dance set. It was an amazing day and celebrated Patrick and Eric perfectly.
The last image in the slideshow zooms into Patrick’s dads apartment, he installed a giant P+E in their window that could be seen from the Terrace Room at the Lowes. A special tribute to Patrick and Eric.

I had a lovely morning with Sterling and her parents in Rittenhouse. She is a lively little lady and was proud to wear her crown all morning. We almost didn’t get her parents in any photos because she wanted all the camera time to herself, haha! A little lady who knows what she wants for sure. Thank you for having me out, it was a really fun session!

For this Philadelphia Family Photo shoot we decided to capture all the things they loved to do together as a family. I love lifestyle family shoots, they are my favorite by far. We started out having some snacks, homemade focaccia bread, fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, prosciutto and other yummy italian meats. Served up in their lovely screened in porch, where they spend a great deal of time. We then headed outside for a few photos in front of the house, keeping with a fun casual nature that is the family they are. A quick wardrobe change to do some bike riding, which is an important family past time, and rounding out the shoot with throwing the football with dad and planting new plants with mom. I’d say it was the perfect afternoon. I had a lovely time as well!

This is going to be an epic blog post. Trish and Pro were married this past October at the Crystal Tea Room. Trish is Vietnamese/Chinese and Pro is Hindu. Needless to say there are many traditions that go along with each culture. They had their tea ceremony a few weeks before the Hindu ceremony and western ceremony. They have had a full calendar of events! We were with them for the Indian ceremony and the western ceremony. I love these weddings, one of my favorite to shoot. The energy and song and dance is the best! The aunts got Trish ready with her sari and traditional bengali face paintings. Pro and his entourage danced across Broad Street to the Crystal Tea Room in the baarat. He was met by his family and Trish’s family with the gifts and blessings. All the guests followed up to the atrium where Trish was brought in, hidden with two leaves until just the right time under a canopy. The ceremony was beautiful, I’ll let the pictures below do the talking. After the Hindu ceremony the bridal party went back to the hotel to start the getting ready process again, this time for the western ceremony. We had a little photo session at City Hall and then back to Crystal Tea Room. Their good friend presided over them for the ceremony which made it all that more special. After that it was time to party and let loose! Pro even go up on stage at the end of the night to shred on the guitar! (That’s the short and sweet version, I’ll let you get to the slideshow and images!)

Abby and Kyle are getting married on Saturday!! It was so great to walk around their neighborhood for some pre-wedding pictures! They have known each other since they were kids, they went to grade school together. Kyle has always had a crush on Abby but they didn’t get together until after college. Abby had some tickets to a game and put it out into the facebook world, Kyle responded and the rest is history! They are an adorable pair. I’m so excited to see them in a few days.

We started with some drinks at Rittenhouse.
Then we just took a little tour around the area.
I think the wind cooperated with us on this one. 🙂
Twenty Manning was where they went for their first date. Awe.
