Baby Trumen, Philadelphia Children Photography Moodybaby Session

Baby Trumen’s mom found me at the Pennsylvania Hospitals Solution for Women store.  I’ve had images hanging there for a long time, 2007 I think!  It’s great to know that they are still creating an impact for people.  This session is a surprise for Trumen’s dad on Fathers day coming up in a few weeks.  He edited a wonderful video for Trumen’s mom for mothers day and she wanted to do something equally as special for him for Fathers day.  How sweet!! I am posting now because there should be no way dad will come across it as he has no idea.  If you know him, zip zip those lips!!!

I had the best time with Tru and his mom.  He is a wonderful happy eight month old baby!  All smiles and giggles it would be hard not to totally adore this little man.undefined

Love those red haired babies!undefined
Mmm, foot popsicle.undefinedundefined
His favorite book.undefined
We had a grand ole time on the black velvet.undefined
TOTAL favorite! Look at that gummy smile, this will brighten your day any day.undefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefined
Yes?  I’m watching you. 🙂undefinedundefinedThe best way to end a session is with a little snack from mom before going down for a nap.

I love this image.undefined

This slideshow should not be missed, enjoy.

Happy Fathers Day!!

Peggy & Steve, Fairmount Park Engagement Shoot

I had a wonderful afternoon with Peggy & Steve.  They both just finished school and are set to graduate…tomorrow actually…from law school.  Peggy from Temple and Steve from Rutgers.  Congratulations Dr. Peggy & Dr. Steve, sounds good huh? They have a small window of rest before settling in to study for the bar so this was the perfect time to get their engagement session in.

They live in walking distance from Fairmount park so we started out there.

Awe, love this one.undefinedundefinedundefined
A nice cool off and splashing in the Wissahickon.undefinedundefined
I just love the feel of this one. Peggy’s dress had some lovely moment.undefined
Peggy and Steve live with her parents and the property and house are amazing so it was a no-brainer to do photos at the house. This is where we will be doing all the wedding photos too.undefined
Awe, aren’t they adorable?undefinedundefinedundefinedundefined
Just your average photo in the driveway.  Yeah no big deal… 🙂undefined
In honor of their graduation we did some photos in cap and gown. They had them so why not!undefined
They look so smart and distinguished yes?undefined
Congratulations you guys!!!! See you in October.undefined

Christina & Rich, Philadelphia Engagement Shoot

Christina and Rich are not my “normal” couple.  It seems like each year I get to shoot one of my good friends weddings and this year it is Christina’s turn.  Christina and I worked together at Drexel for almost five years which at this point is almost five years ago! We shared an office, we met everyday before work at the train station and went to the gym together, we did may things outside work as well.  I guess I am saying for almost five years Christina and I spend A LOT of time together. She was there for me as support starting up my Photography business, sometimes fighting with me on who took the lab camera out on the weekends… 🙂  (Hey it took me a while to save up for my own first grown up digital camera..)  All good fun.  So what I am saying is she has been a fan and friend since the start.  She knew back then that she would have me photograph her wedding….one day….. So this winter when she told me the news I couldn’t have been more happy for her (and even happier that I had the date she wanted for her wedding available)!

Christina is very involved with her church, she is a fabulous interior designer and an amazing athlete.  She has very high standards and especially when it came to finding a life long partner.  I always knew she would find someone wonderful, it may have been a long road or what seems to have been a long road but she finally found Rich or I should say they found each other.  Rich is a very lucky man to have Christina, they are a great match for each other.

I knew I would spoil Christina a bit for her engagement session, but it was also me wanting to spend the day with these guys.  And did we spend the day!  We started out in Media at the coffee shop down from Christina’s house and then wandered a bit of her Media neighborhood.  After that we headed into the city, had a picnic lunch behind the Please Touch Museum before going into the museum for some play time.  We ended in Old City, took some photos, had a great dinner and took some more photos before rounding out the day at the Franklin Fountain.  Quite the day!  But Christina deserved every minute of it. I am so happy for her.

I will be even more excited to see her in November walking down the isle to marry Rich! I hope my auto focus works properly because I will be balling my eyes out with happy tears.

Enough enough already, there are waaay to many photos here to look at.

Their engagement session was my first time meeting Rich and he is a real charmer.

undefinedAren’t they adorable?
Christina is also a great dancer, she does a lot of swing dancing, so she is teaching Rich and he is catching on nicely.undefined
I loved how the azalea’s looked like a heart.  awe!undefinedundefined
We had a lovely picnic.undefined
The room is closing in on you!!!!undefined
We had much fun playing at the Please Touch Museum.undefinedundefined
I found out that Rich is a real goof ball…..and I love it!undefinedundefined
It is off to Old City now! (Um yeah we went all out and all over the place for this engagement session. I spoiled Christina and Rich a tad, but  I am allowed.)undefined
A favorite.undefinedundefinedundefinedundefined
Getting a little old school in old city.undefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefined
As you can tell by now I couldn’t narrow down very well for this session….. We shot so much at many locations and with Christina being such a close friend it was hard!undefined
This is one of my favorites.undefined
We had a lovely dinner and then one more outfit change for some shots at Penn’s Landing.undefinedundefinedundefined
And because we totally deserved it a hot fudge sundae from the Franklin Fountain. Perfect ending to the perfect day!undefined The end, well the beginning really.  I had so much fun with you guys. So excited for you.

Emily’s one year shoot. Collegeville moodybaby children photography

So much fun with Emily and her Mom Kate & Dad Paul! Paul was sneaky and got a gift certificate for a session months ago.  He knew they had wanted to do something special for Emily’s first birthday.  Kate started a search for photography herself and Paul just asking her to put it off, wait until after her birthday yada yada. Thinking to himself I have already done this! ahh.  🙂  Well it all worked out and Kate was pleasantly surprised with her gift.

We went about the session with the everyday things they always do. This is why I love lifestyle photography, its real, fun and so important in remembering this ever quick changing time in a child’s life. We had a wonderful afternoon!

It was snack time after getting up from her nap when I arrived. She had to size me up a bit at the beginning.

She warmed up nicely.undefinedEmily has this thing with her right foot and socks.  She prefers not to wear the right one.  Given a chance she will always remove the right sock and leave the left right where it is.
undefinedShe spends time with dad in the office, looking at the window etc..
Window door time with the pooch is a daily thing as well.undefined
The newest thing is climbing the stairs.undefinedundefined
This is one of those cheer you up anytime smiles.undefinedundefinedundefinedThis was right before Easter and Kate’s mom had made the traditional lamb cake.  It was a first for Emily and she had to just about be tricked into tasting it! She didn’t want it at first, that is until she got a taste. 🙂
(A funny aside to this lamb cake is that this mold is an old vintage cake mold.  I have a photo of my dad on one of his childhood birthdays with this exact same lamb cake, except covered in coconut. Brought back some memories for me.)
A simple everyday moment, beautiful.undefinedThis girl loves her pears! She is such a cutie!undefined
Just something so simple and I love it. Love this one.undefined

This slideshow is a lot of fun, worth the watch.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Mothers day!
