I will be ringing in the new year with Kelly and Mike on their New Years Eve wedding! I am very excited, its going to be a great day.
These two just bought a house and so we thought it would be cool to take some photos there since there is no furniture yet.
We had photos taken the day we settled on our home and I love looking back at those images now that we are all settled in and I am sure Kelly and Mike will feel the same way about theirs.
Love their big red door.
Mike rows so we headed down to boat house row and spent some time at his clubs house.
This may be my favorite from the bunch.
Mike’s room-mate showed up just in time to tease him a bit and get caught in some images.
A little out take of Kelly that I really love.
These two are a great looking couple.
We ended near the waterworks
Thank you for a wonderful evening you guys! I can’t wait to see you on New Years Eve.
Meredith & Chris had a perfect May wedding! The world did not end and the day could not have been any more amazing. Before getting too far I always like to mention all the vendors who played a role in the wedding day.
Some getting ready shots
Putting on the veil was the final touch.
Chris looking mighty handsome
To the church we go to get married!
St. Paul’s is amazing.
Ring exchange
I just enjoy this of Chris and his guys.
We were actually ahead of schedule, which rarely happens, so we walked down to Isgro’s for some snacks. A nice gentleman, just a regular customer, treated Meredith and Chris to their goodies and Isgro’s also gave them some special cup cakes. Pays to go into a bakery after getting married!!
Meredith being gorgeous. Aren’t her flowers amazing?
Awe, you guys are too cute.
A nice moment and nice light in the limo.Love the Chestnut Club! Such a cool place.
First Dance
Chris’s sister and nieces, enjoying the band. I couldn’t resist putting this one in. I think this may have been Meredith’s favorite gift……
You guys were wonderful and so much fun! I am happy to have been a part of your day.

Christina and Rich are not my “normal” couple. It seems like each year I get to shoot one of my good friends weddings and this year it is Christina’s turn. Christina and I worked together at Drexel for almost five years which at this point is almost five years ago! We shared an office, we met everyday before work at the train station and went to the gym together, we did may things outside work as well. I guess I am saying for almost five years Christina and I spend A LOT of time together. She was there for me as support starting up my Photography business, sometimes fighting with me on who took the lab camera out on the weekends… 🙂 (Hey it took me a while to save up for my own first grown up digital camera..) All good fun. So what I am saying is she has been a fan and friend since the start. She knew back then that she would have me photograph her wedding….one day….. So this winter when she told me the news I couldn’t have been more happy for her (and even happier that I had the date she wanted for her wedding available)!
Christina is very involved with her church, she is a fabulous interior designer and an amazing athlete. She has very high standards and especially when it came to finding a life long partner. I always knew she would find someone wonderful, it may have been a long road or what seems to have been a long road but she finally found Rich or I should say they found each other. Rich is a very lucky man to have Christina, they are a great match for each other.
I knew I would spoil Christina a bit for her engagement session, but it was also me wanting to spend the day with these guys. And did we spend the day! We started out in Media at the coffee shop down from Christina’s house and then wandered a bit of her Media neighborhood. After that we headed into the city, had a picnic lunch behind the Please Touch Museum before going into the museum for some play time. We ended in Old City, took some photos, had a great dinner and took some more photos before rounding out the day at the Franklin Fountain. Quite the day! But Christina deserved every minute of it. I am so happy for her.
I will be even more excited to see her in November walking down the isle to marry Rich! I hope my auto focus works properly because I will be balling my eyes out with happy tears.
Enough enough already, there are waaay to many photos here to look at.
Their engagement session was my first time meeting Rich and he is a real charmer.
Aren’t they adorable?
Christina is also a great dancer, she does a lot of swing dancing, so she is teaching Rich and he is catching on nicely.
I loved how the azalea’s looked like a heart. awe!
We had a lovely picnic.
The room is closing in on you!!!!
We had much fun playing at the Please Touch Museum.
I found out that Rich is a real goof ball…..and I love it!
It is off to Old City now! (Um yeah we went all out and all over the place for this engagement session. I spoiled Christina and Rich a tad, but I am allowed.)
A favorite.
Getting a little old school in old city.
As you can tell by now I couldn’t narrow down very well for this session….. We shot so much at many locations and with Christina being such a close friend it was hard!
This is one of my favorites.
We had a lovely dinner and then one more outfit change for some shots at Penn’s Landing.
And because we totally deserved it a hot fudge sundae from the Franklin Fountain. Perfect ending to the perfect day! The end, well the beginning really. I had so much fun with you guys. So excited for you.
I had a blast with Lisa and Nam on their engagement session. Lots and lots of laughing at ourselves and each other, what more could you ask for?
I am very much looking forward to their wedding in May. It will be my first Buddhist ceremony.
We started off the session with their pooch Buddy. He is a little over a year old and VERY playful.
Then it was off for the real deal engagement photos. To get Nam loosened up a bit I made him run with Lisa. 🙂I LOVE this one. I think its my favorite. This is a good representation of the “laughing at ourselves” comment. Its not really in their nature to act on the romantic side of things so in the direction for this photo they just started cracking up at each other, which I quite like.A little visit from the geese. We ended at 30th street station since this is where the relationship began long ago.
Thank you guys for a lovely afternoon and in trusting me through all the things I asked you to do! See you in a month.
I am very excited to finally announce an image of mine making it into the PDN magazine’s Top Knots Wedding Photography Issue 2011!! The deadline for entries always falls during the high holiday season and always gets put on the back burner for submitting. I was determined not to miss the deadline this year and it paid off! I am so thrilled and excited to be featured in this issue. I can’t even contain myself.
You will recognize this lovely couple, Melanie and Joe, from one of the rotating headers on the blog and maybe you remember their wedding as well. They were married in September 2009 and it was one of my favorite weddings that year. They are such a sweet couple, great family and I couldn’t be more excited that their image was chosen. You can find PDN at most any major bookstore, pick one up!
Jackson had a top notch first birthday! His mom thought of every single detail to make the best Dr. Seuss party.
Here is the birthday boy!
Awesome Cake.
What is a Seuss party without green eggs?
Big sister Sydney
Family came in from far and near. Sydney was so excited to see her cousin.
Boys will be boys?
One of Jackson’s buddies.

These guys are so cute.
Who want to play pin the hat on Seuss?
Mmm, Jackson loving that chin.
Happy Family

A few of the faces from the party
Those are some blue cupcakes!
Cake Time!
Awe yeah.
I love this shot, it may be my favorite.
A wonderful first birthday party! Certainly one to remember. No detail was left out.

I am sad to see one of my couples from 2009 moving away, but its a great opportunity for them and they aren’t going too far. Soyoung contacted me this earlier this year to see if I might be interested in doing some real estate photography for them. They remembered seeing the images I did of our old house when we sold it and half the success in selling a property is in the staging and photography. I was excited to do this for them and we did a few portraits of them in the apartment as well. I believe right now they will be renting the apartment out so if you are looking for an AWESOME one bedroom apartment in Old City, right across from Elfreth’s Alley, this is the place.
Fantastic open kitchen
Great light and an open floor plan
A little wider shot to show you the kitchen and living area
Bedroom
A higher view of the living area. This apartment has great floors.
I did a few little detail shots for Soyoung & Stephen so they could remember their time in the space.
Soyoung & Stephen, one of my favorite couples from 2009.
Their typical use of space, I believe Soyoung spent many an hour at that desk writing her thesis.
We went up to the roof to capture the view.
Philadelphia will miss you guys! Keep in touch and good luck with the Condo, I hope the images we got for you will help.
