Josh and Jasmine how to describe them?? I went to high school with Josh in New Mexico, so there is a little history there. He was always one of the sweetest guys, always smiles, friends with everyone. Not much has changed there. 🙂 We reconnected a few years ago at our 10 year high school reunion and have kept in touch since. Josh is the photographer in his circle of life and knows the importance of being there to capture the moment in just the right way. I felt very honored when I heard from him asking me to come be a part of this big day for him and Jasmine. I had not met Jasmine before but I feel like she has always been there in the same circle. She welcomed me and Linette with open arms like we had known each other for years. The trip out to Austin was just amazing. We went out on their engagement shoot the day before the wedding, was great to catch up, warm up, and reconnect. It was also a nice few hours for Josh and Jasmine to just enjoy each other through the hustle and bustle of all that goes into coordinating all the wedding events. This brought them both back to where they needed to be. 🙂
A few observations I made about Jasmine. She is the apple to his butter, the sugar to his spice, the words to his song and the perfect fit to his puzzle.
Its just amazing how well these two are matched for each other. They love each other and it shows in every way possible.
Pure and simple.

We started off at the capital, had a little fun with the Segway.
I enjoy the guy running after Josh like he is going to run off with the Segway. But he wanted to pick up his lady hitching for a ride!

no lack in personality….. 🙂

LOVE
Beautiful Jasmine

It was really hard getting these guys to act natural and be themselves….NOT. 🙂

adorable Josh
A favorite.
I just love these guys. ugh.

Some Austin skyline.
Everything is big in Texas.

Yeehaw lets get married!

We can’t forget the furry friends. Meet Reggie everyone. The giant cat. 🙂 And the sweetest thing too.
The full family portrait. (Well minus Noah, Josh’s son. You’ll meet him when I post the wedding images.)
So there you have it. A fun filled morning shoot in Austin. The preview to what was an amazing wedding, which will be up by the end of next week so stay tuned…….
Love you guys!

Such a lovely cool spring morning with Jenny & Steve and their dog Max!
We just walked around their neighborhood peeking in and out of little spaces.

Max is their pride and joy, key member of the family and has lots of great looks and personality.
Love this one. 🙂

They met while away at College and happened to both be from the Philadelphia area. Funny how that works sometimes!

See you both in May!!! Thank you for a lovely morning!

Well its that time of year! Engagement session season! 🙂 We have been having abnormal weather on the east coast and spring was about three weeks early!
We set out on a nice stroll down the Wissahickon path for Lori and Zach’s engagement shoot on a balmy March afternoon. Lori and Zach go here a lot so it was the perfect spot for their session. It was a great time too since everything was starting to bud out.

My favorite.

These two are so sweet together.
The nice thing about early spring? We got great pops of color for our shoot.
Another favorite.
Lori has some sass. I’ll remember that Lori! I like it!
Such gorgeous day we had!!!
Can’t wait to see you guys in September!!

Anne & Dennis are getting married this summer and Anne had originally hoped to do a snowy engagement shoot. Our winter has been anything but snowy yet still we managed to coax a little snow from the sky for our shoot!!
Snow!
You ask, I deliver. 🙂 Even if it lasted for five minutes.

Loved Anne’s pop of color in her scarf.

One of my favorites from the day.
It was awesome hanging out with you guys on a snowy/sleety/rainy afternoon! I am looking forward to the summer and your wedding!!

Before the holidays I met up with Kevin and Suzanne for a city engagement shoot. We did a majority of the shoot in the Barclay on Rittenhouse. Kevin used to work there and is still friendly with everyone there so we had the run of the place. I had not been there yet, its pretty awesome inside.
These two are cute with all their quirky faces they make at each other.
This is pretty standard with these two.

The bathrooms at Barclay have some cool tile, for an uber cool couple.

caught making out in the bathroom!!

It was chilly but we headed outside for a little bit to get a feel for the city.
Congratulations you guys! I had a fun afternoon with you!

I apologize for my lack of blogging! It certainly isn’t because I don’t have anything to show you, its been a very busy season for me and there will be an explosion on the blog coming very soon. I was prepping some of Claire and Tom’s images to put on facebook and said to myself hey I should just get their blog post done at the same time! So here you go. 🙂
We met up earlier in the fall for a sunrise engagement shoot! The light in the city is gorgeous in the morning, getting up is the hard part but once you are there its totally worth it! Another perk is that we were the only ones out! We had all our locations to ourselves.
Claire and Tom have to be the most mature college students I know, they are both attending Drexel University, Claire for Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering and Tom for Architecture. They are high school sweet hearts and will be getting married next fall. Since Tom is into architecture I thought the new Race St. Pier would be a cool spot to go for photos. It was my first time there and its my new favorite place.

Race St. Pier and lovely morning light.

This could be a new advertisement for Philadelphia, take a stroll in Philly!

A little fun skipping. haha.
Love this.

Have a wonderful Monday!

I met Ben a few years ago when he sold me my VW Passat! He was not your “typical” car salesman, haha! I obviously had a very good experience buying my car from him and we have kept in touch since then. He had told me about Jayme and their dog, at the time there was no engagement but he knew there would be at some point in the future. I made him shake on it that he would call me whenever he did get engaged and hopefully give me a chance to shoot his wedding. Well that happened this year! I was very excited to hear the news and even more excited that he remembered to get in touch with me. Its been great getting to see Ben out of his work environment and meeting/getting to know Jayme. They are a super fun couple.
They are getting married in January 2013 up at Bear Creek, its going to be a fun winter wedding!!
We started the shoot wandering around Manayunk, they happen to live right across the street from the house I lived at in Manayunk years ago. Was fun to wander my old neighborhood.

They met while attending St. Joe’s. They both lived in the Lafarge Residence and actually met outside one cold night when the fire alarm went off.
We roamed around St. Joes for most of our shoot, hit all the spots of significance for them.

They are adorable, no?

Now you can’t have a shoot with a car guy without his car… Ben is of course a VW man.
It was so much fun you guys! Looking forward to 2013!!
