Kelly & Mike, Franklin Institute New Years Eve Wedding

What a fantastic wedding to end the year on!  Its been an amazing year and I am so so grateful to all my amazing clients/friends for allowing me to do what I love to do and provide them with invaluable memories.  Kelly and Mike have been wonderful to work with and all their friends and family were so accommodating all day long.  We had an amazing day, very uncharacteristic for a December day, it felt more like October. Last year we were under a few feet of snow at new years.  Kelly and Mike were so much fun all day, you’ll see very soon.

Lets get on to some photos……..but first the other wedding professionals that made this day amazing:

Venue: Franklin Institute, always a stunning venue!!
Flowers: Flowers by Yuke
Caterer: Frog Commissary, I will make a bold statement here and say that the meal we were served on this night is the BEST meal I’ve had all year. Mushroom risotto with a puff pastry and grilled veggies, nice sirloin steak (I think) for the “meat eaters”.  I could go for some right now, it was amazing. Not a “vendor” meal in the slightest. Top Notch.
Band: Jellyroll, these guys are awesome.  What a fun band, couldn’t think of a better band on new years!
Videographer: Pete Malone from First Floor Films, Pete is a talented videographer/photographer and one of my dearest friends.  Its always fun when we get to work together.
Second Photographer: Misty Dawn Phiel, so much fun to shoot with you again Misty!  I am so happy we got to ring the new year in together, thank you for all your great images.
Assistant: Eric Walbridge, my “thankless assistant”.  Thank you for coming out and being my light man all night. 🙂

Now the photos……

Claire & Tom, Philadelphia Sunrise Engagement Shoot

I apologize for my lack of blogging! It certainly isn’t because I don’t have anything to show you, its been a very busy season for me and there will be an explosion on the blog coming very soon.  I was prepping some of Claire and Tom’s images to put on facebook and said to myself hey I should just get their blog post done at the same time! So here you go.  🙂

We met up earlier in the fall for a sunrise engagement shoot!  The light in the city is gorgeous in the morning, getting up is the hard part but once you are there its totally worth it!  Another perk is that we were the only ones out! We had all our locations to ourselves.

Claire and Tom have to be the most mature college students I know, they are both attending Drexel University, Claire for Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering and Tom for Architecture.  They are high school sweet hearts and will be getting married next fall.  Since Tom is into architecture I thought the new Race St. Pier would be a cool spot to go for photos. It was my first time there and its my new favorite place.

Race St. Pier and lovely morning light.
This could be a new advertisement for Philadelphia, take a stroll in Philly!
A little fun skipping. haha.
Love this.Have a wonderful Monday!
