I had a lovely morning with Sterling and her parents in Rittenhouse. She is a lively little lady and was proud to wear her crown all morning. We almost didn’t get her parents in any photos because she wanted all the camera time to herself, haha! A little lady who knows what she wants for sure. For this Philadelphia Family Photo shoot we decided to capture all the things they loved to do together as a family. I love lifestyle family shoots, they are my favorite by far. We started out having some snacks, homemade focaccia bread, fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, prosciutto and other yummy italian meats. Served up in their lovely screened in porch, where they spend a great deal of time. We then headed outside for a few photos in front of the house, keeping with a fun casual nature that is the family they are. A quick wardrobe change to do some bike riding, which is an important family past time, and rounding out the shoot with throwing the football with dad and planting new plants with mom. I’d say it was the perfect afternoon. I had a lovely time as well!

I had the pleasure of meeting baby Owen last week in NYC. He was one day shy of his one month milestone, but still very much in the newborn stage. I photographed Soyoung & Stephen’s wedding a few years ago, and I was so excited when they got in touch with the news of their first baby. I couldn’t be more thrilled for them. They have made a lovely transition into parenthood. I can’ t wait to watch them grow!

This was my second belly shoot with Sophia and family, it was so much fun to see them again! Isabella has grown up so much since I last saw her, she is such the little artist. It was fun to see how much things have changed within their home, having a 3 year old take over your living room with all their stuff for example, in a good way. At the end of the slideshow is a little bonus video for you. Everyone is excited to welcome baby #2, I’m so glad we got to celebrate this new baby with another belly shoot.
Its been a little while since my last maternity session, I forgot how much I love them and love shooting with black and white film. Its great to get back to basics sometimes!

We have come full circle in our babies first year coverage of Isla! Time flies I tell ya. We had a great time and Isla loved her smash cheesecake, though she really didn’t smash but her dog Diesel enjoyed helping to clean up. Enjoy!

Baby Naeva was 10 weeks at our photo session. She was so adorable and the center of love in the house, even her furry four legged sisters love her! My favorite thing is to capture a new family in their own setting just doing what they do. These small things are what make up the biggest and most important parts of our lives. Congratulations to this new family! A great sense of love for your Valentines day. Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

My first shoot of the new year! Isabella is such a sweet little soul. She was all sorts of smiles and happiness. She tried to hold on longer but we must have tuckered her out and she went down for a nice hard nap at the end of the session.

This post is a compilation of visits with the Sadri’s, from belly to baby over the span of a few months this past fall. I photographed Emily and Navid’s wedding back in 2011 and since then we have become great friends. I was at Laila’s birth, they came to my wedding and it continues. I was supposed to be at Kayvan’s birth too but since they are up in NYC now the timing just didn’t work in my favor to be there, so sad! But I made it up in the first week to visit and capture his newborn portraits.
This might also be one of the sweetest slideshows ever!
