Jennifer & Ray, Knowlton Mansion Wedding

Jenn and Ray had an amazing day.  Perfect weather and great company to help celebrate them tying the knot after eleven years!  We had a lot of fun with everyone, but before I get too far here are some of the other important people that made the day.

Venue: Knowlton Mansion
Flowers: Honeybunches
Dress Designer: Mon Cheri
Caterer: Conroy Catering
DJ: Best of Times, they kept the party moving on the dance floor that is for sure.
Second Photographer: Pete Malone of 217 Photography, So much fun working with ya Pete!  Thank you for coming out and you’ll see some of your images below, thank you!

We started the day with some detail shots, I thought Jen’s shoes were adorable.

The naughty and nice flower girl. 🙂
A few more details, we had fun with an old typewriter.
They getting ready begins!
Jen’s sister was there to help get her into the dress.
Last minute decisions on which necklace to wear.
A mighty handsome groom!
An adorable couple, you guys dress up well!
Jen quickly embraced her bridal beauty, she was loving the camera!
Awe, one of my favorites.
A few portraits as we went inside before the ceremony began, the light was awesome.

These two did an awesome job with their flower and ring duties.
Jen opted to be a little less traditional and walked herself down the isle, here comes the bride!
On her way to one happy groom.
A few nice moments with their parents.
What a flower girl and ring barer do during the ceremony….
Love this moment!
They had a small bridal party, it was a wonderful change of pace from the usual bridal party numbers.
Time to have a little fun in that dress.
We snuck off to the cellar for a few shots.
This group was a lot of fun to shoot while dancing.
An end of night shot.
Wouldn’t be appropriate to end the evening with out these two sticking out their tongues! You guys are too much.
So much fun, thank you for having us out to document your day!!

Dina & Pat, Crystal Tea Room Wedding

I had so much fun with Dina and Pat!  The day stated out like a monsoon, we hadn’t had rain in over a month and literally a months worth of rain fell on the area the morning of their wedding. We made a few changes in regards to rain plans but in the end the storms rolled out just in time for us to head into the city for the portraits.  It was a gorgeous day, perfect light, perfect temperatures. We couldn’t have asked for more.

Before this post that is full of images here are the other wedding professionals that contributed to making this day all that it was:

Dress: Pronovias
Flowers: Alvin’s Flowers, Dina’s flowers were like a sculpture of flowers. They were amazing. I kept calling them her baby. 🙂
Bakery: Testa’s Bakery, Dina’s Dad’s bakery. He made all the desserts, the favors and the wedding cake. We all went home with a goody box and it was simply heaven.
Band: Vincent James Band
Make-up: Clinique by Alex Kania
Venue: Crystal Tea Room
Caterer: Finley
Photobooth: Wilmington Photobooth

Thu & Alex, Elkins Estate Wedding

I was so excited for Thu and Alex’s wedding. My first experience with a Vietnamese wedding. I love learning about other cultures and their traditions.

We will get into photos in a sec, first here are the other professionals that made the day go smoothly.

Venue: The Elkins Estate. (AMAZING place, I highly recommend this venue.  This was my first time there and its simply gorgeous.)
Flowers: provided by a friend of the family.
Dress: Rivini
Caterer: Culinary Concepts
Cake: Confection Perfection
DJ: Ebe
Second Photographer: Andrea Mecci
Assistant Photographer: Stephanie Lugo
(Big thanks to Stephanie and Andrea! They stepped up to help out in a big way on this day.  The one thing about being a photographer is that you can not call out of work if you are sick. On this particular day I happened to be very ill, horrible cough, fever and migraine. It didn’t stop me from doing what I needed to do to get the job done and with extra help from Stephanie and Andrea we made it through the day.  With lots of medication I was feeling much better by the time the ceremony came along.  Thu, Alex and their families were very wonderful to me as well and I am very grateful for that.)

When we arrived at Thu’s house for the first of two tea ceremonies this is how we found the men. They were waiting for the ladies to make their entrance and would be giving them their flowers.

Joy Moody Vietnamese Wedding
Alex presenting Thu with her flowers.Joy Moody Vietnamese Wedding

The first of  two tea ceremonies started at the brides house. They burned incense sticks, asking for permission from the ancestors to bless them. They then bowed to their parents, gave thanks for raising and protecting them and then bowed to each other. The tea and candle ceremony along with speeches followed. Thu and Alex served tea to their parents. Each parent gave advice about marriage and family. The candle ceremony followed, symbolizing the joining of the bride and groom and the joining of the two families. Thu and Alex then both received gifts of jewelry from their parents. Make sure to watch the slideshow at the bottom of this post for more images.

Here is Alex’s dad giving some advise.

Antonia & Mark, Phoenixville Foundry Wedding

Such a fun time at this wedding!  It was Antonia’s big fat Italian wedding!  When I arrived at her house that is exactly the feel I got. Food to feed an army, all the family gathered around…..the computer talking to relatives on skype in Italy. It was hard to move in the kitchen.  🙂 They were great fun though and it was so nice to be around such a tight knit family.  She has a true Italian family, most of them were speaking Italian the whole day and Antonia would switch back and forth as needed between the two.  I almost felt like I was in Italy!  I’ll talk about more things along the way through this post, its a big one! First here are the other important people who made this day what it was.
Church: St. Donato
Venue: Phoenixville Foundry
Flowers: Alvin’s Flowers
Videography: Video One
Caterer: Feast Your Eyes
Dress: Monique Lhuillier
Band: Idea 71
Second Photographer: Misty Dawn Pfeil, excellent working with you again!  Thank you so much, you’ll see some of your images in here.

Sara & Justin’s Wedding

Where to begin? Really. Sara and Justin are simply wonderful, a breath of fresh air. We had such a fabulous time with them and everyone at the wedding. They were a vision of true love, I can’t really say more than that there are no words.

As usual let me first mention all the other professionals that helped make this day gorgeous, delicious and fun.

Wedding Planner, Beka Rendell from Innove.  She was awesome and provided such a tender calmness to the day all while keeping everything under control.
Caterer, Ross & Owren. Delicious food with a cuban flare.
Flowers, Clarks Flower Shop.  Some of the most beautiful center pieces I have seen. Every one of them was unique and inventive. Simply gorgeous. Not to mention the bouquets which you will see below.
Make-up, San Gilinsky.  A personal friend to the bride and did a fantastic job!!
Cake, Whipped Bakeshop. Such an amazing art deco cake.
Band, The Source. These guys were awesome.
Dress designer, Jenny Packham. I LOVED Sara’s dress. Very classic, very art deco, and just simply stunning.
Second Photographer, Andrea Cipriani Mecci.  So much fun shooting with you Andrea! I am getting spoiled.
Assistant, Stephanie Lugo. You’ll see some images from Stephanie here! I don’t know what I’ll do without her when her co-op is over in the fall!

The Happy Couple.

Sara’s amazing bouquet. It was incorporated with a bible that has been in her family for generations. The bible served as the handle to hold the flowers. It was so sculptural with the incorporation of flowers and feathers. I have never seen anything like it. Sara’s mom’s black chairs provided a wonderful studio setup. The brides maids bouquets were equally as gorgeous. This is perhaps one of the best groom reactions to seeing the bride, ever. EVER. I must give Stephanie credit for this one, she had the right angle and the perfect timing. You can see why Justin’s jaw dropped. Sara was simply stunning. There were many many wonderful moments. A small peek into Justin’s vows. Justin and Sara had probably the best vows I have ever heard. I don’t think there was a dry eye in the Temple. Going to the Temple in style! We weren’t allowed to move around at all during the ceremony, but that wasn’t a problem since there were three of us with cameras… This happens from time to time and hey its no big deal. I put Andrea on the brides side with guests and Stephanie on the groom’s side with guests. Stephanie had the perfect angle to get the next two shots. No moving around needed. 🙂 I loved the Art Deco and cuban flare the wedding had. By the way those cigars, they were chocolate. I still think about them. They were delicious. I LOVE this family photo. The day wouldn’t be complete without their pooch Tilly. She had a dress and a collar of flowers. Look at those smiling faces. The wedding was held at Sara’s mom’s house in Bucks county. The tent was one of the best I have seen. There was no shortage of dancing, that’s for sure. I can’t say enough about you guys. Thank you so much for having me out on your day. It was an honor.

Enjoy your slideshow!!

Kimberly and Mike had a great day.  Very energetic group and the family members at the reception knew how to let loose. Before I get too far I want to mention the other Wedding Professionals for the day:

Venue & Cake: Hotel Fiesole

Andrea was with the guys first.  The button popped off Mike’s shirt so some emergency tailoring was needed.

This little flower girl was sooo cute. Mike eagerly awaiting his first look with Kimberly. The first look. Off to some portraits, this is one of my favorites. Kimberly was excited to get in the swing set.   Mighty good looking couple! Another favorite. This too.. A few details Married! Some fun shots with the bridal party Mike a little embarrassed during speeches. “Pssst” has been their code word for I love you. Secret is out now! They could have been bad, but they were nice. Love this one of Kimberly dancing with her dad. An old fashioned cheers for grandpa who died a few months ago, he was there in spirit though. ha! Love this of dad dancing.
