I think this may be one of the best anniversary presents ever. 🙂 Brian did good getting a shoot with me for Barbie on their one year anniversary, seeing as the first anniversary is paper what better than a photograph? We met a long time ago when they work looking for photographers for their wedding, we all hit it off great but due to circumstances out of our control I did not photograph their wedding. They did keep tabs on me however and when their anniversary came up this past May I got a very nice email from Brian. We have had a few months of anticipation leading up to this shoot and it was well worth it. We had so much fun. I think we all had side stitches when we were finished from so much laughing. These guys have such great personalities and chemistry together.
A lot of people include their pets for portrait sessions, but those pets are usually dogs. Barbie and Brian’s horse Cocoa was a first for me. I loved Cocoa though, she loved the camera as well.

Barbie is very proud of her mare and Brian.

Cocoa certainly had a lot of personality and wanted to know where I was and where the camera was at all times. She heard me clicking away here and had to stop to see what I was up to.

Lovely family.
We put Cocoa back in her stall for dinner time and headed back out on the farm for some solo shots.

The soy bean field was glowing in the evening sun.

A little bit of fun.
Love love this.
When on a farm, must play on farm equipment.
Back the stables for a few more, love this one too.
This is the spot where Brian proposed to Barbie, its in the older part of the barn and I love the character. Seemed appropriate for an American Gothic inspired pic.
I love the character of this old barn and stable, I could have stayed here for hours.
Brian’s turn for a little fun jump. I like that the barn cat is just hanging out.
While up in the loft of the barn Barbie noticed how awesome this tree looked in the twilight of the evening so we headed over there and concluded a wonderful session.
You guys are too much! I had so much fun with you, it was so great to see you again.

I was so excited for Sue when I found out Josh had proposed! Sue was a bridesmaid in Stephanie and Tim’s wedding last year so I’ve had a chance to get to know her a little and it was no secret that she was excited an anxiously awaiting the big question. This girl has it together let me tell ya. She is getting married next August and she has everything taken care of, from photographer, videographer, planner, florist you name it, its done. So next thing was to check off the engagement shoot! I headed out to Lebanon Valley and we had a super fun afternoon.
Meet Sue and Josh!

A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E

We went all over the place, but from here down we were on Josh’s families land.
The light was amazing.

Having a little fun…

The ring-bling. And the really cool moss.
There are various corn fields all over.
Josh’s family also owns and runs the Lebanon Valley Farms Disposal and they were excited to feature some of the trucks.

Sue picked out her truck the night before and it was washed and cleaned especially for her and its photo feature. 🙂

Yummy light.
The ladies were curious as to what we were doing……Hello ladies!

mmm corn!
These two have the most amazing eyes.
We stopped to feed the bucks, Josh’s family also keeps deer for breeding. I love this image of Sue.
This guy has been raised here since birth, he is very tame and used to people.
So much fun! It was so much fun to see such a big part of who you guys are. We are going to have a blast next year, can’t wait!

Rhiannon & Shawn are getting married in two very short weeks, well not even more like a week and a half!! We had a great time the other weekend on our shoot. They like to play mini golf so we figured we would start there. These two are very competitive.
Yeah, game faces going on.

whoops! Didn’t make that one.
A little break for a quick snuggle.
Back to business. Shawn is not intimidated by Rhiannon’s stare, he can put with out even looking!
To make things a little interesting. This round of mini golf was becoming too competitive, so I implemented a few creative requirements.
After mini golf we grabbed the dogs for a few pics.

Savannah and Georgia, too cuties and an inseparable pair.

A little dramatic light under the bridge.

Too adorable!!!!

LOVE IT!!
I’ll see you guys next weekend!

Ditte and Dan are getting married one month from today! Holy smokes, how time flies. We got together to take some pictures last weekend, first checking out the Swarthmore college where they will be getting married, then heading over to Ridley Creek to find the corn fields.
These two are quite the adorable pair.

At the amphitheater where the ceremony will be held.

There is this crazy red tree on campus. Loved it.

Ditte (pronounced like Rita but with a D) has the most AMAZING eyes.
We found the corn fields.

Love this

A little play on American Gothic.
I corn see you! (I’m a dork I know.)
A little battle of the corn ensued.

I love this next set as a little series together.
And as the sun sets our shoot concludes.
I had an awesome time with you guys! I’ll see you in one month!

Jen & Ray are getting married next month! We met up at Jen’s parents for their engagement shoot, you’d never know we just took pictures around their front and back yards! I had a lot of fun with these two. It crazy to think they have been together for eleven years! They are cute as ever and very excited to make it all official soon.
I think this may be one of my favorites.

They love hanging out on the hammock

The tongue thing is a pretty normal occurrence with these guys I found out. 🙂
Just being a little goofy.
Jen’s dad saved this bench from a local park demo.
See here we go with the tongue thing again. 🙂
It spitted rain on us every now and then.

Another contender for favorite. Ray has a very super man quality about him, yes?

Jen is so tiny its easy to just pick her up. This is also a pretty normal occurrence.

Jen found this old window in the trash and thought it was cool, I saw it at the side of the house and was excited to use it.

It started raining again so we did a few shots in the basement, with Elvis.
You guys are too cute! (Elvis you are adorable too.)
I had a lot of fun! See you in a few weeks.

A few weeks ago Don and I traveled down to LBI to meet up with Kirsten and Max for their engagement shoot. They currently live out in Colorado but Kirsten’s family has a house on LBI and its a family tradition to spend summers there. We had a gorgeous evening!

Max received his certificate from Kirsten earlier in the summer for climbing to the top of this light house.

They are so sweet with each other.
After the lighthouse we headed back to get the dogs and go to the beach for “the golden hour”.
Yawn, well I am no ordinary dog! Rules don’t apply to us, psssh. 🙂
These guys have had an amazing summer at the beach, I think they may be a tad spoiled actually.
I love this. It makes me cry every time.

yummy golden light….oh and Max and Kirsten are pretty awesome too.

We had so much fun with the dogs.

Now over to the bay side to watch the sun finish setting. Pretty nice spot to do that.

A little fun with flashes.
Our jumping off into the sunset picture.
Thank you for all your hospitality you guys! We really enjoyed our time with you. The wedding is a year off but will be here before we know it!

Priya and Sunit are adorable. I met up with them a few weekends ago before their engagement party. They are newly engaged and will be getting married next June. I’m very excited for their wedding, I love Indian weddings. I shot Sunit’s cousins wedding last year, I am looking forward to seeing a lot of familiar faces.
quite adorable.

Love the colors

They are very smitten with each other and I think it shows.

The gardens where we shot were gorgeous.

Loved the heart shaped bush.
It was a pleasure you guys! I am already looking forward to next year.

Thu and Alex are getting married at the end of the month! We got together last week for their engagement session. It was my first time meeting Alex, he was a tad nervous about the photos and there is a chance his buddies at work will give him a hard time. BUT I think he did a fantastic job, he may be a natural and not even know it. Thu has such a great personality and smile that its hard not to take a good image of her. These guys have been together for nine years! I think I’ll save their story for when the wedding post goes up, but these two have been through a lot together. I am excited to be part of their wedding. Anyway… want to see some images? It was a gorgeous day!
LOVE LOVE this one.
Before you ask, yes the sky is real. Yes it was that blue and yes it was an amazing day for photos! 🙂
My favorite!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
See you guys soon!

Monday we met up with Mary and Chris in old city. They are getting married next weekend! These guys are fabulous. Mary is a dream to photograph. She is obviously gorgeous but she also has this fun bubbly personality and is always smiling as you will see. Chris and Mary have known each other since high school, they are great together. I can’t wait till next weekend.
one of my favorites
Mary always has amazing expressions.
They have been scooting around the city on their buddy, so we had to incorporate the scoot in some shots.
These guys are too cute. Thank you for making my job so easy!!!

Sunday I met up with Antonia and Mark at the Bellevue for their engagement shoot. They are getting married next Saturday, yep next Saturday, at the Phoenixville Foundry. Its going to be a great time. Antonia works at the Bellevue so we had a bit of VIP treatment and the use of XIX restaurant, we also had brunch there and wow it was one of the best brunches I’ve ever had. Antonia and Mark really wanted some city shots since the wedding will be at the Foundry and so that’s exactly what we did.
Antonia’s co-workers threw her a sex and the city themed party, the type treatment is from the invite and I thought it would go great with this image.
We started off in the famous room of restaurant XIX.
LOVE their wine cellar.
I love this.
and this.
This is just timeless. LOVE it.
ha cha cha. This is a smoking couple.
I have to mention the shoes if you hadn’t already noticed them. Hot stuff.
We dressed down a bit for some more playful images.
It started to rain a bit so we picked up the pace.
We made our way through the subway back to the Bellevue to escape the rain.
The last shot of the day.
So much fun guys! Looking forward to seeing you again next weekend!
