Pete met up with this fun bunch to do a family style engagement shoot in the city. Gretchen and Sean have been together for a long time and married since their first daughter was born, but they never had the wedding, the celebration, the party. At the end of this month they will be having their ceremony at Congress Hall in Cape May. It will be a family event and long awaited party and celebration to remember for sure! Congratulations you guys, the shoot looked like so much fun.

Part two of an amazing Saturday was with Katinka and Nelson in Queens. Katinka and I met at one of my past brides-turned friends-home birth that I photographed last year. They are actually getting married on little Laila’s birthday this year, who will also be at the wedding! What a difference a year makes. 🙂 We had a lot of fun and had so many different backdrops in such a close radius. We started off at 5pointz which is a graffiti artist mecca and is set to be demolished in September this year. They both love this spot and wanted to make their mark there with some pictures. It was pretty cool, very colorful, my kind of place.

This past weekend couldn’t have been a more perfect spring day! I have two couples who live in NYC and was lucky enough to coordinate their engagement shoots for the same day!
Ellie & Bill were up first. We met at their apartment and stared out with some awesome shots on their roof. They are getting married in the fall at the beach, so a city shoot for the engagement was perfect.
Then we went down to the park for more.
We ended our session with an awesome lunch at Frankies, their favorite spot.

This was such a fun shoot. 🙂 Jessica and I had been planning their engagement shoot and she mentioned that it would be fun to do it in the snow. So we marked an “official shoot date” in March but put ourselves on call in case we were to get a nice snow storm. It worked out perfectly. We opted to shoot during the storm instead of the next day and I think it was totally worth it. We met at Valley Forge Park and you can see what we got below! Enjoy.

Ok, with that out of the way…… I had a wonderful time with Hilde and Brian on their engagement shoot. Their pups came along for the shoot, I think they might have been a little excited?
We tried to expend some energy with a little run.
Hilde made up some adorable save the date signs, but someone was getting a little camera-shy……
It was nice that there was still a bit of snow on the ground.

We had such an awesome afternoon with Sara & Josh. Beautiful fall day at Longwood gardens. Sara is the daughter of one of my postal ladies. 🙂 I would chat with her a lot when sending out packages to clients and she always said when her daughter got engaged she would recommend me. So when it actually happened I was so excited to finally meet Sara & Josh. They are a super sweet couple and are going to have an awesome wedding next year!

Susan and Jeff are adorable together! We met at the Dilworthtown Inn, where they had their first date. It was a blind date that Susan’s mom had actually set up. Go mom! Now they are getting ready for their wedding in April! I’m excited to work with these guys. I photographed Susan’s sisters wedding a mere 5 years ago! Craziness.

I met up with Julie & Josh right before hurricane Sandy came to town. Our shoot had originally been set for the day Sandy hit our area, so luckily we were able to get it in before hand and while we still had all the color. 🙂 Thank you guys for coming out my way!
